How did we get our start?

Inspired by a love of the outdoors and cherished summers on Fire Island, NY, siblings Jake and Caroline Danehy founded Fair Harbor in 2014 with a mission to turn plastic waste into buttery-soft apparel that helps protect the places you love.

We create sustainable apparel from recycled plastic bottles and a range of fabrics including: organic cotton, seawool, tencel, and recycled nylon.
