Valentine’s Day classroom parties are always exciting for kids… but let’s be honest, they can sneak up on busy parents FAST. Between school events, homework, and everyday mom life, finding cute and affordable Valentines can feel overwhelming.
That’s exactly why I love making simple DIY Valentine’s cards that look adorable, are budget-friendly, and take very little time to put together. This year, we made the sweetest classroom Valentines using my Kit Kat Candy Valentine Template available in my shop, Ariem’s Bowtique, and they turned out SO cute!
If you’re looking for an easy Valentine idea your kids will be proud to hand out, this one is perfect.

✂️ Supplies You’ll Need
Here’s everything we used to make these adorable classroom Valentines and the links below:
- Cardstock paper (white or pastel colors work great)
- Printer
- Kit Kat candy bars (fun size or standard size both work!)
- Glue dots OR regular glue
- Scissors or paper trimmer
👉 Tip: Cardstock makes the Valentines sturdier and gives them that store-bought quality look.
🖨 Step 1: Download & Personalize Your Valentine Template
Start by purchasing and downloading the Kit Kat Valentine Template from my Etsy shop.
Once downloaded:
👉 Kitty Kat Valentine Download
- Open the template in Canva
- Personalize with your child’s name (and class info if needed)
- Save and download your finished design
- Print onto cardstock paper for best results
Mom Tip: I always print one test page first to make sure sizing is perfect.
✂️ Step 2: Cut Out the Valentine Cards
After printing:
- Use scissors for easy cutting
OR - Use a paper trimmer for clean, professional edges
If your template includes candy holder slots, carefully cut those as well.
🍫 Step 3: Attach the Kit Kat Candy
This is the fun part kids LOVE helping with!
You can attach the candy using:
✔ Glue dots (my personal favorite because they hold strong and dry instantly)
✔ Regular craft glue (just allow drying time)
Simply place the candy onto the designated area on the card and secure it in place.
👧 Step 4: Let Your Kids Help!
My kids always get excited helping assemble their classroom Valentines. It makes them feel proud handing them out to their friends.
You can have them:
• Help glue candies
• Count cards for classmates
• Write their names
It turns into a fun family activity and builds excitement for Valentine’s Day.
💡 Optional Creative Add-Ons
Want to make them extra special?
Try adding:
✨ Heart stickers
✨ Glitter accents
✨ Personalized messages on the back
✨ Ribbon tied around the candy
Totally optional — the template already looks adorable on its own!
