STACK AND RETRIEVE NO PROBLEM

Want to stack them and still be able to retrieve contents? No problem! BIGANT’s engineering team has that “window” figured out.

First, a special step joint is designed around the bottom edge of each crate to form a tight lock joint with the crate underneath. and then design the lock to hold the tensile strength when more crates are added.

The capability to have one collapsible side is important for warehouse inventory. Parts need to be retrieved from the bins when placed in between shelves. For identification and marking purpose, labels can be affixed to the lower bottom on the base.

COLLAPSIBLE PLASTIC CRATE VOCABULARY

FOLDING RATIO Volume ration before and after crate collapses. It showcases the space-saving capability of a convertible crate. With BIGANT, the length and depth remain the same but the height’s reduced to only 1/4 and the ratio is 4:1 for all sizes. LOAD CAPACITY The maximum weight applied to the bottom of crate, with walls in locked position, without causing permanent damages. STATIC CAPACITY The maximum allowable weight applicable to frames when walls locked and crates stacked. It is important to maintain the safety of the bottom-most crate when in a load stack i.e. in production or warehouse. FOOT PRINT The area a crate occupies. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Are the sides straight or angled?

Straight. All 4 side panels are one-piece perforated made of heavy-duty plastics designed to fold down easily. The topsides are designed to lock into the bottom of another size-likewise crate when being stacked.

2. Can you sit on the crate?

Absolutely. Just make sure you securely lock all sides of the crate first. Then turn the crate bottom up to sit. Remember the large, medium, and small crate are rated 265 lbs, 200 lbs, and 132 lbs respectively. If you prefer to sit on the top, a sturdy chopping board on top of the crate would be much better a solution.

3. Can I use the crate for my dog?

Yes, Our small size crate sports ample room for smaller dogs and cats if used as pet condo. If you have more than two cats, you can stack them up and put a lid on top to make it a really expandable and fun-playing cat condo. For larger than 15 lb pet, you can upgrade to BIGANT medium crate which gives you 1.7 cubic feet of internal space.

4. Can you buy lids for these storage boxes?

Yes and no. We only have the lid available for sale on Amazon for Small size crate ONLY and you can click through the lid picture under comparison table. We are trying to keep this popular item in stock all the time. But for now, we don’t have lids for large and medium-size crates.

5. Does it have a solid bottom to hold spills?

This is an excellent question. Some commercial shopping crate has solid base that can contain some amount of liquid in case the liquid carton spills and this feature prevents spill to surrounding area. Unfortunately BIGANT crate has perforated base that DOESN’T hold spills.

6. Can I use these crate for vinyl record storage?

Yes, Due to its rugged design and mobility coupled with accessory, they are excellent choice for phonograph vinyl record. The large size is stackable even filled with records. The crate will sit on top of the records without contact. If you need to carry around, small size is a perfect option. For medium and small crate, top of the vinyl will stick out; as for large crate, there is some clearance and that makes crate stackable. All BIGANT crates made ofare heavy duty plastics. By estimate, large, medium, and small can hold 200, 150, and 90 vinyl records respectively.

7. What is the height of the caster once installed?

First the caster only fits large and medium size crates. Second, the caster mounting hole surface is recessed only about 0.06″ to accomodate the caster plate. So the caster will add extra 2.6″ to the total height of the crate.
